The museum possesses an important archaeological collection of found objects from the region of Aalst (Dender Valley, being the former country from Aalst). The middle ages are well represented : pottery, floor and fireplace tiles, glass and metal. In terms of painting and graphic art the museum has some 750 pieces (not all be stored on site).
