Castle Marnix de Saint-Aldegonde is situated on the banks of the Old Scheldt, a cut-off oxbow from the 13th century. This unique area of greenery was often described by the poet Emile Verhaeren. Permanent exhibition dedicated to Philippe de Marnix, gives an insight in life at and around the castle in the old days.
