Geraardsbergen is one of the oldest cities in Belgium. The wall of Geraardsbergen « Muur van Geraardsbergen », a steep street paved with cobblestones, climbed every year by cyclists during the many bicycle racings in Flanders. The steep slope has a length of 1.075 meters; the highest rate of increase is 20%.
