Of the early Gothic church, whose construction work began in the first half of the 12th century, rest now only the choir in Tournai limestone.The Tower of Sint-Walburga (1498-1624) is 88 m high and is a clear landmark until far into the surrounding area. The Church is particularly rich in sculpture, polychrome sculptures, paintings and tapestries.
