The Château de Longchamps has the distinction of being one of the few houses of importance at the time of the First Empire (1810) that existed in Belgium. Baron Maurice de Selys-Longchamps, a great lover of art, furnished this castle in harmony with the time of construction. The rectangular main building imposes its horizontal lines. A large park has preserved the remains of his charming greatness of the time when it was built.
