The town belfry is one of the central parts of the skyline of this community and has stood in place for many hundreds of years. Originally part of a church that no longer stands, the belfry is one of the most impressive pieces of architecture in the town, towering above almost everything else within the settlement. There have been many attempts to refurbish and reconstruct the belfry since it was first erected in the 14th Century, making it as good looking today as it was when it was first built.
