MUSEO DEGLI STRUMENTI MUSICALI DI ROMA
The National Museum of Musical Instruments in Rome is the largest European institute of this kind. Over thousand items are exhibited, from various sources, from the Far East to the archaeological sites in southern Etruria, and distributed over a very wide span, ranging Late Hellenistic era to the twentieth century. Notable items are the piano built by Bartolomeo Cristofori in 1723 and the famous Barberini Harp.
