THÉÂTRE ROYAL DE LA MONNAIE / KONINKLIJKE MUNTSCHOUWBURG

The Royal Theatre of the Mint is a theatre in Brussels. The first permanent public theatre for opera performances of the court and city of Brussels was built between 1695 and 1700 by the Venetian architects Paolo and Pietro Bezzi. For performances of Baroque operas, La Monnaie/De Munt mostly engages guest orchestras specialising in authentic performances on period instruments.
