LIMBURGSE KEMPEN

The Campine (Dutch: Kempen) is a natural region situated chiefly in north-eastern Belgium. There are still a number of bunches, marshes, heathlands and pastures. Large areas of the region were also coveredwith pine which was used in the coalmines of Wallonia and Limburg. Today the Campine is becoming a popular destination for tourists in search of a quiet and relaxing weekend.
