James Ensor resided during the last 32 years of his life in the James Ensor House. The bulk of his work saw the light of day in the little workshop which he set up in the garret of his parent's house. He lived so cramp that he never managed to unfold his absolute masterpiece, « Entrance in Brussels » in its entirety.
