The Flemish Ardennes is an informal name given to a hilly region in the south of the province and is one of the tourist regions of the province of East Flanders. It is a very rural region with a typical sloping character and borders the Scheldt-Dender Region to the Northeast and East, Wallonia to the South and the Leie Region to the West and Northwest.
