Historic Belfry - Part of UWH

BEFFROI DE BOULOGNE-SUR-MER

The oldest monument of the fortified town was built in three stages, in the 12th, 13th and 18th centuries. In fact, this belfry was the last remnant of a castle built by the Counts of Boulogne. When a newer castle was built 300m to the east, the old keep was handed over to the burghers of the city who made it the municipal belfry.
