The Montagne de Reims is a plateau with a maximum height of 288 meters. Its subsoil is made of chalk, clay, sands and limestone. The area is home to several species of large mammals such as deer or wild boar, and of a flora of great interest because of the diversity of soils and exposures. The Parc Naturel Régional de la Montagne de Reims was created in 1976, and includes the spectacular site of the "Faux de Verzy".
