La Ferrière-sur-Risle is a commune in the Eure department in the Haute-Normandie region in northern France. The name of the town is derived from the Latin word Ferrariae and means "place of extraction of iron ore." The main economic activity was the iron industry and allowed to develop the town's infrastructure. Examples include the hall, which indicates the importance of an old market, and the church.
