LA POINTE DE L'AIGUILLON 
The beach at Pointe l'Aiguillon is the farthest south in the Vendée. The Vendée does continue south for several more kilometres into the Baie de l'Aiguillon otherwise known as the Anse de l'Aiguillon, but this is mainly mud flats. There are several worthwhile beaches on this quiet peninsular, they are mainly small but if solitude is your penchant then this is a good place to start.
