Flanked by a series of beautifully preserved neo-classical arcades, this square is one of the most interesting public places at the heart of Reims. The area was set out in the mid 18th Century, after a series of prominent architects battled out the ideas that eventually created the masterpiece. At the centre of the square is a statue of Louis XV. The area is surrounded by popular cafes and bars, attracting a large tourist and local crowd all year round.
