CHIESA DI SANT'AGNESE IN AGONE

Sant'Agnese in Agone is a seventeenth century Baroque church. Inside, there are a number of large scale sculptures, including the marble relief in the main altar. The rebuilding of the church was begun in 1652 at the instigation of Pope Innocent X and had to be effectively a family chapel annexed to their residence. Bernini's Fountain of the Four Rivers lies in front of the church.
