TREATRO CAPRANICA

The Theater Capranica is a theater in Rome, active mainly from the seventeenth to the nineteenth century. It took its name from the Roman family who owned the building which stood at the theater. The construction of the building, which overlooks the homonymous square, was begun around 1450, near the church of Santa Maria in Aquiro and by the will of Cardinal Domenico Capranica.
