ARCO DI GALLIENO

The Arco di Gallieno, or arch of Gallienus, is a triumphal arch for the emperor and his wife Gallieno Salonina. The arch is not specifically constructed for the Emperor and his Empress because in past she called Porta Esquilina and took part of the old Servian Mure. Originally, the gate consisted of three arches, but the outer two were removed in the 15th century, to make way for ordinary buildings.
