San Francesco a Ripa is a church in Rome.
It is dedicated to Saint Francis of Assisi because the adjacent convent hosted his visit to Rome in 1229, while the term Ripa refers to the nearby river-edge of the Tiber.
The construction of the present church was begun in 1603 by Onorio Longhi, starting from the apse. Notable also is the copy alleged portrait of St. Francis by the friar Margaritone d'Arezzo.
