Historic Building

OOST-INDISCH HUIS

The Oost-Indisch Huis is an early 17th-century building in the centre of Amsterdam. It was the most important building of the Dutch East India Company (Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie or VOC). The building served as the headquarters of the Amsterdam chambre (Kamer) of the East India Company and the 20 regents of the Amsterdam chambre met here.
