CLAES CLAESZHOFJE 
This is the name for the complex where the old Claes Claeshofje, the former Zwaardvegershofje and the former Anslo's Hofje take part. It stood empty for 20 years and was seriously threatened, until it was restored in the sixties by the Stichting Diogenes. The Association of Friend of the Amsterdam City Centre, very actively fighting to preserve the design of the old city, started from the Stichting Diogenes.
