VILLA ROMANA DELS MUNTS

Villa Romana dels Munts is an archaeological site dating from between the 1st and 5th centuries D. C and is an example of a luxurious villa, given the material that has been excavated, marble, sculptures, wall paintings, etc. Its construction is linked to the officials responsible for the administration of the province of Tarraconensis. This villa was once the residence of the Provincial Governor Caius Valerious Avitus.
