Historic Town Bridge

EL PONT PENJANT SOBRE L'EBRE

Pont Penjant d'Amposta is a bridge located in the town of Amposta and is one of the most emblematic symbols of the municipality. This bridge was begun in 1915 and completed in 1921. It was designed by José Eugenio Ribera. The bridge is 24 meters tall and stretch a total of 134 m. It is characterized by two stone pillars in the form of triumphal arch, German neoclassical, and its metal structure supported by cables.
