The lake Ivars i Vila-sana is a lake located between the municipalities of Ivars d'Urgell and Vila-Sana, in the Pla d'Urgell. The formation of this lake goes back thousands of years ago and is caused by the geological conditions of these areas: the presence of water in outcrop and a waterproof bottom. The lake became a center of social, economic and cultural development for the surrounding villages.
