The 'Passeig Arqueològic' or the archaeological walk is a walk on the old ramparts or walls of the city. Within the wall you can still see the remains of a Roman road, built to connect Rome to Tarragona. The town ramparts were first built by the Romans and are still largely intact. They encircle most of the town, apart from a section which was damaged during a French siege in 1809.
