Historic Building

STADHUIS VAN GENT

The Gent Town Hall is one of the most breathtaking buildings in Gent. A portion of the building has an ornate Gothic design while another portion (on Botermarkt Square) was built in a Renaissance style. There has been a town hall on this site since 1482, although the current Town Hall was built between the 16th and 18th centuries.
